Jesus Christ Lives 3.10.16

Hello there! It's been kinda a busy and crazy last week and a half.

There is SO much I could share with all of you but I just share with you the highlights of the week.

Last Wednesday we went to go see a less active, M in the elders area. We parked our car next to a lady and worried if it was M.

We both are new in the area so we just decided to knock on her door.

M's husband (who is a former of the elders) answered and said she wasn't home. We started to drive away and got pretty far down the road when we saw the lady in the car waving at us. We thought it was M so we literally turned around as fast as we could...(and plus, even if it wasn't, you know missionaries are going to turn around when someone waves to them like that). We parked our car and probably looked crazy as we ran to her and asked if she was Me! She was like, "No, I'm K but I live with M." She then randomly went on to tell us her story and her past. She explained that literally without Christ, she wouldn't be living today. She said she doesn't tell her story to people but had a feeling to tell us. We testified of the savior and the asked if she attended church near by.

She said she moved to Powell about 2 months ago and hasn't attend on here but did before she moved here. We invited her to church and then also, invited her to the relief society actually that would be held in

1.5 hrs. Later, we got to the relief society dinner and she showed up!

She had gotten all ready and looked beautiful! (As well as L, another investigator of our who also came!) Everyone was so welcoming to K and she kept telling people how we literally pulled her from the side of the street. We decided since we were at the church that we would give her a chapel tour with a member. It was so spiritual. We sang "Abide With Me 'Tis Eventide" to hear in the chapel. We stopped at the painting of the priesthood being restored and briefly explained the apostasy and restoration. As I shared the first vision, tears filled her eyes. She said, "Joseph Smith restored the full truth to humanity." We didn't even explain it to her like that...the spirit taught her that! We then explained baptism and the gift of the Holy Ghost. She expressed that she would love that gift so we extended baptism and she accepted! We met her 2 hrs before that. I learned that God really does put people in our path and if we simply open our mouths, they will be ready to hear the message!

So last pday (March 29th), a guy came up to us at Krogers and asked what church allows us to dress like this. He explained that we were stylish yet conservative. We shared who we were and gave him a card.

It was such a nice compliment but we didn't think anything of it.

Well, a week later on this Monday we were walking up to an investigators house and we see a man next door start waving at us. IT WAS THE SAME GUY. He asked us if we would come visit him after we were done at his neighbors. So we did and now we are teaching him. Heavenly Father really does put people in your path!

Just Serve is a new thing that the church has come out with! We did some service at a food pantry on Tuesday during exchanges and it was such an amazing experience...we are going back on Saturday and I can't wait! I invite you all to go to just serve online and start to serve others. Remember, Mosiah 2:17 "And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God." We also got to do service at an assisted living center yesterday!

Yesterday, we had a chapel tour planned with a member and one of our investigators. 30 minutes before it our investigator canceled. We were really bummed but we didn't want to cancel the chapel tour. So we pulled over and we decided we would pray about it. Instantly, an investigators name popped up...I brushed it away thinking, "there is no way...its 29 minutes before!" I decided to tell Sister Alius and she agreed! We knocked on E's door 20 minutes before. At first, she was not really for it but then she decided she would. We were able to do the chapel tour and to sing for her. It was such a spiritual experience. The member that came is Bro. Henderson..a convert of two years. He is incredible! He married a member, rejected missionaries for years, but now is one of the most amazing members I have ever met!

20 minutes before and she came! I've learned a lot the past couple weeks that miracles really happen through the faith of Mortals. I know that to be true!

We had the opportunity to attend the temple today. It was such a sacred privilege to attend a session and be in the Lords house. There is so much peace from the temple and it is literally a piece of heaven on earth.

There is so much more I want to share with you all but I know this email is already so long. It's been such an incredible week, with a lot of downs as well. I'm so grateful to share this restored gospel to Gods children in Ohio. It's such a privilege to represent my Savior Jesus Christ and wear his name literally on my chest every day. I love this gospel so much. It has brought me so much peace and happiness. I know that Jesus Christ lives and loves each one of us. We all have divine potential and a purpose here on earth. I love you all so much, until next Monday!

XOXO,
